Turning Post-Production Bottlenecks into Creative Freedom

Post-production has always been the bottleneck. You shoot, edit, format, subtitle, re-version, translate, reframe - and it takes days, teams, tools. And then you start again for each platform. What if you could cut all that out? Create once and adapt everywhere in a few clicks?

That’s exactly what Aive is doing. Under the leadership of Olivier Reynaud, co-founder & CEO, and Rudy Lellouche, co-founder & Chief Product and Technology Officer, Aive is reinventing how brands manage video post-production.

By transforming video into data, Aive automates the repetitive, tedious tasks and elevates the creative work into transcreation - preserving intent while adapting for platforms, cultures, and audiences..

Designed for large-scale video automation, the platform enhances post-production, creative analysis, and collaboration, enabling brand and agency teams to work seamlessly from anywhere. In a conversation with Olivier Reynaud, we discovered that for Aive, this isn’t just about saving hours - it’s about reshaping how content meets people, where and when they engage.

From Creator Frustration to Big Vision

Olivier Reynaud’s journey to Aive starts long before AI was in every headline. In 2016-18, as co-founder of Teads (a global video advertising company), he saw first-hand how much post-production work was repetitive, non-creative, but unavoidable. Scenes had to be reframed, formats adapted, subtitles added; versions for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook - all needed bespoke edits. It consumed time, teams, and budgets. At the same time, Rudy Lellouche was facing the same challenges and needs for video format adaptation during his experience at AdYouLike, where he was one of the directors.

They realized the real leverage wasn’t just in creating new videos - it was in making existing ones work everywhere. That insight led Olivier to leave Teads in 2018 and, together with his associate Rudy Lellouche, co-create the vision for Aive: automating video production through AI. From there, they assembled a team of engineers and began building what would become Aive.

“We created this unique technology named MGT, for multimodal generative technology. We don’t generate video, we transform an existing video into data. Thanks to this technology we are able to automate all repetitive tasks, all format versioning, all adaptation tasks in video and audio together and very quickly, very easily.” - Olivier Reynaud

Over six years, Aive’s engineering-led approach built out tools for adaptation, reframing, subtitling/dubbing, montage via transcripts, creative scoring, and more. The focus: taking the video assets brands already have and making them more usable, more performant, more elastic across platforms and audiences.

What Aive Does

Aive’s multimodal AI automates post-production by generating multiple formatted versions of a video

At its core, Aive’s strength lies in turning video into data. When a video is uploaded, the platform automatically analyzes and breaks it down into rich metadata - everything from who is speaking, to the type of shot (close-up, long, indoor, outdoor), to logos, subtitles, languages, and even the mood of a scene. This process transforms a static video file into something searchable, flexible, and ready to be adapted.

From there, the real power comes with smart adaptation and versioning. Aive makes it possible to take one master video and instantly generate versions for different formats - vertical, square, landscape, or optimized for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube. Tasks that would usually eat up hours, like subtitling, dubbing in other languages, reframing shots, or creating shorter clips from a long piece of content, are handled automatically and delivered within minutes.

Importantly, Aive also builds in quality and compliance checks. A pre-flight Creative Score flags risks (length, text cutoffs, logo visibility) and ties creative decisions to expected performance. Every adaptation is scored against creative best practices and platform requirements, with clear suggestions on how to improve performance - whether that means shortening the duration, adjusting text placement, or adding subtitles. For brands handling sensitive content, the platform also ensures security and data privacy with full traceability..

In short, Aive doesn’t just save time - it redefines what’s possible by giving teams the ability to do in minutes what once required multiple tools, multiple people, and multiple days.

Real Results for Real Brands

Numbers speak louder than promises - and Aive is already delivering. Take Meetic, one of Europe’s leading dating brands. Their Global CMO for Europe, Céline Boudière, explains how Aive has transformed their workflow:

“Aive has enabled us to accelerate post-production: a task that used to take 2 days is now completed in 4 hours. As a result, we have increased our video asset volume by 60% in 6 months.”

For Meetic, what used to be a time-consuming bottleneck is now a scalable process. More content, delivered faster, with the same resources - demonstrating exactly how Aive’s technology unlocks growth for marketing teams.

And Meetic isn’t alone. Another strong example comes from a Meta client, Groupe SEB, that turned to Aive to adapt a television commercial for Facebook and Instagram. What would normally have required a full team working for a week was completed by a single person in under an hour. The results went beyond efficiency: because the videos were automatically optimized for platform constraints, algorithms, and audience expectations, the campaign achieved stronger engagement than before.

This kind of impact hasn’t gone unnoticed. In summer 2025, Aive secured a €12 million Series A round - fuel to scale its Multimodal Generative Technology (MGT), accelerate product development, and expand its reach across industries.

Vision Ahead: Scaling, Production & Distribution

Today, Aive’s focus is firmly on the enterprise market. Its client list already includes global names like L’Oréal, Procter & Gamble, and Warner Bros., along with major media companies and agencies. These organizations need exactly what Aive provides: a secure, all-in-one platform that centralizes video assets, keeps everything consistent, and enables them to scale without constantly moving content between different tools.

But Olivier Reynaud is quick to point out that this is only the beginning. The roadmap for Aive is ambitious. Over time, the company intends to expand its reach to smaller businesses and even individual creators, making its technology more widely accessible. Beyond adaptation and post-production, Aive is also preparing to step into production from scratch - allowing users to generate entirely new video content within the same platform. And the next frontier is distribution, which Aive frames as AI Broadcasting: a learning loop that automates not only which version gets shown where, but when, dynamically adapting to the time of day, the device, and the context to maximize performance in real time.

To power this evolution, Aive will open its Multimodal Generative Technology (MGT) through an API, enabling agencies, platforms, and studios to integrate analysis-and-generation directly into their workflows. This is the shift from simple versioning to true transcreation - and soon, transdistribution.

What This Means for Small Businesses & Creators

While Aive is enterprise-facing today, the implications for small businesses are clear. If you already have video assets, a platform like Aive can multiply their value by making it effortless to adapt content across different channels. In today’s environment, adaptation isn’t just nice to have - it’s essential. Audiences engage differently depending on the platform, the format, and the device they’re on. Automating that process can be a game-changer.

That said, quality still matters. Simply resizing a video for another channel is rarely enough, and doing it badly can even damage a brand. This is where Aive’s creative scoring, smart suggestions, subtitling, and dubbing tools play a role, ensuring that adapted content performs well without losing consistency or polish. Soon SMBs and creators will also gain access to frequent creative refreshes to fight fatigue, pre-flight scoring to protect spend, and culturally tuned videos that land better across channels.
