When IsaDisaKids was founded in 2012, the mission was simple: to sell Danish children’s clothing through warmth, presence, and genuine communication. Today, the small business combines these core values with AI tools to create a smoother, faster, and more personal shopping experience for both Danish and German families.
Bringing “Danishness” to Every Family
IsaDisaKids offers beautifully designed Danish children’s clothing, accessories, and living products. The company’s founder, Rita Byskov, explains:
“Our mission is to create joy and a sense of security by offering high-quality, sustainably made Danish products. We value beautiful colours, playful prints, and products that bring happiness to children and adults alike.”
The vision is equally clear: to be the preferred children’s clothing store in western Ringkøbing-Skjern in Denmark and the go-to destination for tourists from Blåvand to Lemvig, while also growing the webshop to make up about a third of total business.
The Spark for AI
By the end of 2023, IsaDisaKids began exploring how AI could support their operations. Initially, it was all about efficiency.
“We started with translations into German – AI writes much faster than I do! Then we expanded into product descriptions, general text work, and inspiration. Today, we also use AI for social media content drafts, newsletters, and much more,” says Rita.
The business quickly saw AI’s potential to support multiple areas: market expansion, customer service, marketing, product descriptions, administration, and internal communications.

Today, IsaDisaKids uses a mix of AI tools to streamline operations:
- OpenAI: newsletters, social media content drafts, email replies, product descriptions, translations, and idea generation
- Shopify AI agent: web shop adjustments and programming
- AI for image editing: improving product visuals
- Trello AI: project and task management
A typical day begins with processing orders via Shopify and shipping with Shipmondo. AI helps draft emails to customers, create product descriptions, and generate social media content ideas. For marketing, IsaDisaKids primarily uses OpenAI and Klaviyo for content, while administrative tasks rely on Shopify AI and OpenAI for translations and text drafts.

AI hasn’t replaced the personal touch IsaDisaKids is known for – all customer communication is still read and reviewed by humans. But AI makes responses faster and ensures more products have clear, engaging descriptions, enhancing the overall webshop experience.
